By God's unmerited grace, Doug is an adopted son of God the Father, serving Jesus, being sent by his Spirit to make disciples in St. Cloud, MN. While studying at the University of Iowa Doug started serving through his local church and felt a call into ministry. Following school, Doug joined the staff team at Parkview Church in Iowa City and served in a variety of capacities for 20 years. Most recently he served as a Campus Pastor. While serving Campus Pastor God gave Doug a heart for the local church and began to clarify his convictions of pastoral ministry.
In addition to his role as Campus Pastor Doug was a part of founding Faith Academy in 2013. Faith Academy is a very special school which makes a Christ centered education affordable to families who could otherwise not afford to send their children to a private school. Under his leadership the school grew to serve over 100 students, has seen amazing outcomes and continues to thrive while serving students from different backgrounds.
During the spring of 2023 Doug felt a stirring in him to focus more on Pastoral ministry. It was during this season that he learned of Calvary Community Church and he began prayerfully discerning a call to relocate to St. Cloud, MN. Doug received the call to be the Lead Pastor at Calvary in July of 2023. He is excited about what God has in store for this amazing church!
He is married to his best friend, Natalie and together they have five beautiful children: Anthony, Zachary, Emory, Liana, and Noelle. They love reading, anything outdoors, traveling, and time with friends and family.
